Energy Efficiency

 

Lima (International) implements energy efficiency solutions using smart technology for power and lighting systems as well as converting general and medical waste to energy. Lima (International) is currently involved

with the development of an exciting Smart City project.

 

 

LIGHTING

Lima implements smart lighting technology and has undertaken several projects including street lighting, car parking and indoor applications. Introducing smart technology reduced energy consumption and carbon emissions and resulted in cutting

our clients' energy costs by 60 to 80 per cent.

 

WASTE TO ENERGY CONVERSION

Modern consumption habits are causing a worldwide waste epidemic. Many countries have already exhausted landfill capacity resulting in a devastating environmental impact.

Lima is developing a new smart technology where recycled general and medical waste is converted to steam and diesel.

 

POWER FACTOR CORRECTION (PFC)

Lima works closely with a leading manufacturer of real time PFC.  The dynamic power factor is not only active in real time and reduces KVA, it also extends capacitor lifespan due to smooth engagement and disengagement via solid-state units.

 

FUEL CELL GENERATORS

Unlike battery systems that have a  limited  operating period and then recharge, Fuel Cell is a green technology with an unlimited lifespan which significantly reduces environmental foot print. Fuel Cell backup systems are designed to phase

out UPS.

 

 

 

Smart City

 

Emerging technologies are poised to reshape our urban environments. Using ultra-low power sensors, wireless networks, as well as web and mobile-based applications, Smart Cities are becoming a reality. Lima’s approach to Smart City requirements is to utilize existing street lighting columns that already have a permanent power supply and add intelligent RF Nodes, Wi-Fi access points, and local Control Units (LCU) managed

by advanced Remote Control Management software (RCMS).

These technologies not only allow LED lighting control and monitoring,

they also enable integration of:
